In a letter received from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), referring to correspondence from the Ministry of Trade, it is stated that the Mediterranean Exporters' Associations General Secretariat (AKİB - https://www.akib.org.tr/tr/default.html) will organize Türkiye's national participation in the 63rd Damascus International Fair, scheduled to take place from August 26 to September 4, 2026. It is also stated that, concurrently with the national participation event, a "General Trade Delegation to Syria" will be organized under the coordination of the Ministry of Trade and by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM - https://tim.org.tr/tr/suriye-sam-genel-ticaret-heyeti-25-28-agustos-2026).

It is further stated that Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat is expected to lead the delegation, which will take place from August 25 to 28, 2026, and that meetings are expected to be held with representatives of relevant public institutions and organizations, as well as private sector representatives.
