"Excellent Commodity Exchange"
123-year old commodity exchange İzmir Commodity Exchange (İTB) has proved to be successful during the investigation for accreditation and has been awarded with the A-class certificate which corresponds to “Excellence in services”. İTB together with the other Commodity Exchanges and Chambers received the accreditation certificate in the 9th Term Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Accreditation Certificate Ceremony which was held in Ankara on January 15th, 2014.
On behalf of İTB, the Chairperson Işınsu Kestelli received the certificate from the President of TOBB M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Vice President Halim Mete. The İTB delegation was composed of Işınsu Kestelli, the Vice Chairmen İ. Yalçın Yılmaz and Ercan Korkmaz, Board Members Bülent Arman, İlhan Zincircioğlu, Bülent Uçak, Şeref İyiuyarlar and Deputy Secretary General who is in charge of Accreditation System Dr. Pınar Nacak.
While presenting the accreditation certificate of İTB, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu told “İzmir Commodity Exchange becomes an accredited commodity exchange by getting the highest point in its category. It is now officially confirmed that İTB is a 5-star commodity exchange. I wish all the best for İTB”.
Accreditation system launched in 2001 by TOBB aims at expanding the types of services given by the chambers and commodity exchanges, improving the service quality and harmonizing the systems in Türkiye with the European Union systems. İzmir Commodity Exchange accomplished all adaptions and received the title “Accredited Commodity Exchange” in 2010. Being successful during the investigations for certificate renewal, İTB has been certified as the commodity which meets the criteria of A-class accreditation.
