Conformity auditing is a must for global competition in food
Izmir Commodity Exchange hosted a seminar that was titled 'Utilizing Accredited Laboratories under the Communique No. 2015/21 on Commercial Quality Control in Export and Import of Certain Agricultural Products' and organized by the Conformity Assessment Association (UDDer) that serves to develop conformity assessment sector and ensure access to safer products and services in Türkiye.
In the seminar held in order to elaborate on the changes introduced by the Communique No. 2015/21 on Commercial Quality Control in Export and Import of Certain Agricultural Products that was put into force by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Türkiye, the participants were informed about the new regulations introduced on the commercial quality control of vegetable cooking oils, dry and dried products, pulses and some other products.
The opening remarks of the seminar were made by the ICE Board member Bülent Uçak and Selçuk Uçar, President of the Board of Directors of UDDer. Zafer Soylu, head of the Agriculture Department of Ministry of Economy General Directorate of Product Safety, and Mrs. Nesrin Serin, Deputy President of the Board of Directors of UDDer, were among the speakers of the seminar moderated by the ICE Board member Dr. Tayfur Akın.
