E-Commodity Bazaar was opened
Deputy Minister of Economy Adnan Yıldırım attended to the opening ceremony.
Chairperson of İzmir Commodity Exchange Işınsu Kestelli gave this information about E-Commodity Bazaar:
Our exchange has opened a new website named www.ecommoditybazaar.com
This portal provides its members with an opportunity to exhibit their products on an electronic platform and share their contact information. In addition, portal members can carry out auctions to sell or reverse auctions to buy wholesale products.
In the near future, in order to serve our members, we aim to add an information page regarding international emtia prices to the portal.
Portal was prepared in English and Turkish, but was designed to serve in English to spread to other countries. The portal will serve only to members in terms of exhibiting products and other services such as opening auctions or reverse auctions. However, the exhibited products and auctions can be monitored by the public. In this way, the operations in the portal have the characteristics of reference.
Type of products can be selected from portal’s database for exhibition, auctions and reverse auctions. Furthermore, characteristic features of products and auctions like starting price, upper limit price, lower price limit, quantity, type of payment, type of shipping and available product certificates (e.g., organic, laboratory analysis, etc.) can be entered by the members to enhance product and auction information.
Portal membership will be open to İzmir Commodity Exchange member firms and foreign exchanges which are in cooperation with İzmir Commodity Exchange. It will have an approval mechanism for membership and will become active after the approval of the application.
After the information, Kestelli said: “A series of promotional activities will be done for the participation of organizations from other countries. I wish this portal will be beneficial for the economy of Izmir and Türkiye.”
