Vice Chairman of Izmir Commodity Exchange, Ercan Korkmaz, put an end to the speculations that were said there will be an increase in consumption of pulses during Ramadan and this situation will be reflected in the prices. Korkmaz said, before Ramadan this year has not experienced any increase on pulses prices, an increase in the unexpected also during the month of Ramadan.
Ercan Korkmaz said: “Pulses production has favorable conditions this year. Plantation was made in April and May, so the climatic conditions made a positive impact on product development. If there is not a major disaster, our production can meet our consumption.”
