Establishment of İzmir Bilimpark

İzmir Bilimpark was established in 2013 as İzmir Science and Technology Park Inc. and commenced operations in 2014 with the aim of supporting technology-oriented R&D and innovation activities, particularly in the fields of agriculture, food and biotechnology.

Operating with Technology Development Zone status, İzmir Bilimpark strengthens university-industry collaboration and contributes to the development of innovative ventures and high value-added technologies.

Shareholding Structure

The shareholding structure of İzmir Bilimpark includes İzmir University of Economics, İTOB Organized Industrial Zone, İzmir Chamber of Commerce, Aegean Exporters' Associations, İzmir Commodity Exchange and leading industrial companies in İzmir.

Infrastructure and Fields of Activity

Through its technology development zone infrastructure, incubation center, R&D offices and entrepreneurship support programs, İzmir Bilimpark supports the establishment, development and growth of innovative companies.

It particularly contributes to the commercialization of innovative projects developed in the fields of agricultural technologies, food technologies, biotechnology and sustainable production.
