Establishment of Bayındır Greenhouse Specialized Organized Agricultural Zone

Bayındır Greenhouse Specialized Organized Agricultural Zone was established in 2021 to develop value-added production in İzmir's ornamental plants and floriculture sector.

Covering a total area of 893,715.11 square meters, the zone aims to enhance the sector's competitiveness through a production infrastructure based on modern greenhouse technologies.

Partnership Structure

The partners of Bayındır Greenhouse Specialized Organized Agricultural Zone include İzmir Commodity Exchange, Governorship of İzmir, İzmir Chamber of Commerce, Aegean Region Chamber of Industry, Aegean Exporters' Associations, Bayındır Municipality, Bayındır Chamber of Commerce and Bayındır Flower Production and Marketing Cooperative (BAYÇİKOOP).

Production Infrastructure and Fields of Activity

Bayındır Greenhouse Specialized Organized Agricultural Zone brings together modern greenhouse production as well as product processing, packaging, storage, marketing, training and research activities within the same production ecosystem.

The zone aims to support production processes with modern technologies and increase efficiency, quality and product diversity in the ornamental plants sector.
