Project Summary
The Boosting Agri-food SMEs through Renewable Energy Communities (AGRECs-BOOST) Project aims to accelerate the green transition of SMEs in the agri-food and retail sectors through their integration into Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) in Türkiye, Greece and Italy.
The project aims to develop solutions to address the challenges faced by SMEs, including high energy costs, limited access to renewable energy and inefficiencies in self-consumption models.
Within the scope of AGRECs-BOOST, a scalable Renewable Energy Community model will be developed, enabling SMEs to jointly produce and share energy while optimizing their energy consumption.
The model is expected to facilitate the long-term energy independence of SMEs while contributing to regional renewable energy strategies, sustainable economic benefits and environmental gains.
