May 19, 1919 was not only the beginning of a struggle for liberation, but also a symbol of hope, production, and belief in the future. Over the 107 years that have passed since then, that spirit continues to live on today in the energy of our youth, the efforts of our producers, and our country’s development goals.
Transforming agriculture toward a future focused on “High Technology and Science” is a strategic imperative for our country’s sustainable development.
The global economy is undergoing a major transformation driven by digitalization, technology, and sustainability. Digitalization, artificial intelligence, the climate crisis, and sustainability are reshaping every field, from the economy to production models.
We must transform agriculture, one of the most strategic sectors in this transition, toward a future focused on “High Technology and Science” and accelerate change across many areas, from smart farming practices and digital infrastructure to the efficient use of water resources and value-added production.
At the heart of this transformation are our young people. Making the agricultural sector attractive to younger generations once again is of strategic importance not only for rural development but also for our country’s economic future.
Young generations who bring technology together with the land, support production with knowledge, and place sustainability at the heart of their approach will shape our country’s future. The path toward a Türkiye that produces, develops, researches, and competes globally lies in providing opportunities for our youth and investing in education and production.
With our belief in a future where the energy of our youth meets the fertile lands of Anatolia, I respectfully and gratefully commemorate all our heroes, foremost our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who entrusted this great victory to us, and I celebrate May 19, Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
