On July 15, 2016, our nation made a powerful mark in history by demonstrating its determination to defend democracy, independence, and the national will. The collective stance displayed that night once again demonstrated that unity and solidarity are among our country’s greatest strengths.
Democracy is the foundation not only of social peace, but also of an environment of trust, production, investment, and sustainable development.
For all economic activities, from agriculture and industry to trade and exports, to flourish, an environment in which stability, the rule of law, and collective wisdom prevail is essential.
With confidence in our country’s future, we will continue to produce, create added value, and carry our agricultural sector toward a stronger future. Because we know that a strong economy achieves lasting success when it is supported by strong democracy, social solidarity, and a shared sense of responsibility.
On the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, I commemorate with mercy and gratitude our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our homeland and express my deepest gratitude to our veterans.
I wish for many bright tomorrows in which we preserve our unity and solidarity as a nation and continue to enhance the value of production, labour, and solidarity together.
