August 30 is the greatest demonstration of our nation's determination to shape its own future through its own will. The torch of independence lit exactly 104 years ago by our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms continues to illuminate our path today, reminding us of our responsibility to build an ever-stronger nation that produces tirelessly and serves as an example to the world in every field.

Our greatest responsibility today is to crown the determination for independence established on these lands 104 years ago with sustainable economic and social development. We believe that the path to a strong future lies in a strong economy, value-added production and collective wisdom. We continue to take every step that will illuminate our country's future with our unwavering faith in reason, science, agricultural vision and high-quality production.

On the anniversary of this great victory that changed the course of history, I commemorate with respect and gratitude our Great Leader, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the architect of this triumph, and all our heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our homeland.
