As a result of this study, Sakız artichokes produced in the Urla, Çeşme, Karaburun, and Balçova districts and the Mordoğan area, collectively known as the "Peninsula" in İzmir Province, were registered under the name “Urla Sakız Artichoke.”

Regulations and/or guidelines have been prepared to enable companies to use the Urla Sakız Artichoke geographical indication. Companies wishing to obtain authorization to use the geographical indication must contact the R&D Directorate of our Exchange (0 232 481 10 15).
