Within the scope of Law No. 5957 on the Regulation of Trade in Vegetables and Fruits and Other Goods with Sufficient Supply and Demand Depth, the Wholesale Market Registration System has been established. In order to enhance transparency in the trade of vegetables and fruits and to ensure that producers are informed instantly about the sales process of their products, the Ministry of Trade has launched an application through which information regarding sales transactions carried out via the Wholesale Market Registration System is communicated to producers by short message service (SMS).
Through this application, producers will be able to directly and instantly track the prices at which their products are sold, verify the accuracy of notifications made by buyers, and have access to a transparent flow of information regarding sales processes.
Information messages are sent to producers' GSM numbers registered in the Wholesale Market Registration System. If messages cannot be delivered because a producer's GSM number is missing or incorrect in the System, producers may apply to the relevant Provincial Directorate of Trade or Wholesale Market Directorate to register or update their GSM numbers without being required to register with the Wholesale Market Registration System.
Within the scope of this application, information regarding sales conducted through the Wholesale Market Registration System will be sent to producers via SMS. The messages will include the following information:
- Information regarding the commission agent to whom the product was delivered and the buyer,
- Sale price of the product,
- Type and quantity of the product,
- Date of sale,
- Transaction identification number.
Through this application, producers will be able to directly and instantly track the prices at which their products are sold, verify the accuracy of notifications made by buyers, and have access to a transparent flow of information regarding sales processes.
Furthermore, information messages are sent to the GSM numbers of producers entered into the System by the notifying parties.
Producers who do not receive messages due to incorrectly entered GSM numbers may apply to the relevant Provincial Directorates of Trade or Wholesale Market Directorates to have their GSM numbers registered in the System, without being required to register with the Wholesale Market Registration System.
