In a letter received from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), with reference to a letter from the Ministry of Trade, information is provided regarding the necessary measures to keep customs administrations open under overtime arrangements in order to meet requests concerning export and related customs procedures until the end of March 31, 2026, and to ensure the prompt completion of all procedures relating to export declarations. The relevant letter covers the Regional Directorates of Customs and Foreign Trade.

In terms of achieving Türkiye’s export targets, it is important that the closure procedures for export declarations are completed without delay.

Accordingly, taking into consideration that the Ramadan Feast is an official holiday, the necessary measures should be taken to keep customs administrations open, in accordance with the applicable legislation governing overtime work, in order to meet requests concerning export and related customs procedures until the end of March 31, 2026. To prevent any disruption to export and related customs procedures, maximum attention should be paid at the relevant Customs Directorates to ensuring that export declarations are registered and that all procedures relating to registered export declarations, including inspections, are completed promptly. All stakeholders involved in the declaration process are hereby informed accordingly to facilitate and accelerate these procedures.

Kind regards,

İzmir Commodity Exchange
