In a letter received from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), with reference to a letter from the Ministry of Trade, it is stated that efforts to enhance the security level of work permit documents, increase their protection against counterfeiting, and incorporate security technologies similar to those currently used in high-security documents into work permit documents have been completed.

It is stated that the printing, personalization, and distribution processes for the newly designed permit documents began in March 2026. As in the current practice, work permit cards can be verified either via the QR code displayed on the card or through the "Foreigners’ Work Permit, Work Permit Exemption and Turquoise Card Information Inquiry System" available at https://izinsorgula.csgb.gov.tr.

The letter further states that previously issued work permits whose validity periods have not yet expired will continue to remain valid until their expiration dates.
