AEGEAN COTTON CERTIFICATE

Geographical indication registration is the first and most important initiative undertaken to establish Aegean Cotton as a recognized brand. However, it is not sufficient to realize the vision of transforming products made from Aegean Cotton into a brand, as planned by Izmir Commodity Exchange. Therefore, our Exchange developed the “Aegean Cotton Certificate.”

The “Aegean Cotton Certificate” represents the second step in the long journey that began with the geographical indication initiative for “Aegean Cotton.” The front of the certificate contains information about the cotton production season, the certificate's serial number and the quantity it represents, while the back illustrates the cotton's journey through the ginning, textile and garment production stages.
