In a letter received from the S.S. Mohair and Wool Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union (Tiftikbirlik), it is stated that approximately 51,000 kg (51 tons) of natural mohair from the 2026 harvest, limited to the available stocks in the Union's warehouses, will be offered for sale through public auction in three consecutive sessions, each consisting of a 17,000 kg (17-ton) lot.

The auction will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Ankara Commodity Exchange, located at Macun Mahallesi, 171. Sokak No:4, Yenimahalle/Ankara.

 

If the sale is not completed or any quantity remains unsold, the auction will be repeated on Tuesdays, August 18, August 25, September 1, September 8, September 15, September 22, and September 29, at the same time and location.

 

No additional notification letters will be sent for the repeated auction dates, and any changes will be announced on the Tiftikbirlik website. To participate in the auction, bidders must submit the required bid security documents to the Financial and Administrative Affairs Directorate of Tiftikbirlik's General Directorate at least one day before the auction or before the auction begins on the same day. Interested buyers seeking further information regarding the terms and conditions of sale and other matters may contact the Union's Trade and Operations Directorate.

 

INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FROM BIDDERS WISHING TO PARTICIPATE IN THE AUCTION:

• A bid security document complying with the tender specifications, in the amount of TRY 255,000.00 for 51 tons or TRY 85,000.00 for each 17-ton lot,
• The company's authorized signature circular,
• The chamber registration record bearing the chamber's certification endorsement and the registry certificate,
• The power of attorney issued to the authorized representative, the representative's signature circular, and proof of the representative's identity. These documents must be submitted in their original form or as notarized copies, compiled in a single file, to the Financial and Administrative Affairs Directorate of Tiftikbirlik in advance.
