In a letter received from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), with reference to the letter of the Ministry of Trade, it is stated that, as Türkiye will be removed from Japan’s Generalized System of Preferences as of 1 April 2026, the Special Certificate of Origin (FORM A) will no longer be valid for exports to Japan after this date.

In the notification issued by the Directorate General for International Agreements and the European Union, it is stated that the Government of Japan has announced that Türkiye will graduate from the Generalized System of Preferences as of 1 April 2026, and that this decision has been made public through the website of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
