In a letter received from the Trade Department of the General Directorate of the Turkish Grain Board (TMO), it is stated that 350 thousand tons of corn to be imported by the organization have been offered for sale to users, including poultry farmers (white meat and egg sectors), semolina mills, and feed factories, based on actual consumption (one-month requirement), as of March 14, 2026, at a price of TRY 12,200 per ton [excluding VAT, including handling and additional transportation charges], on a cash payment basis.
Applications for corn sales from port facilities will be made through the TMO Electronic Procurement and Sales Platform (ELASP), and hinterland restrictions will apply to companies during the application process. Imported corn sales will be based on one month of actual consumption, and the quantities of domestic corn sold during March will not be deducted from users’ monthly actual consumption amounts.
Deliveries will be made directly from the vessel/bonded warehouse. Following the announcement of allocation results, companies that have paid the product price should contact the relevant Port Regional Directorates, particularly to obtain vessel delivery schedules, and arrange their vehicles accordingly. Allocations of companies that have paid the product price but fail to collect their products from the vessel/bonded warehouse within the specified delivery period will be cancelled and the product price will be refunded.
Payments for corn purchases must be made in cash, and credit card payments will not be accepted.
Corn will not be sold to the starch sector, crushers, flatteners, or flake producers.
Integrated companies operating in both the feed and poultry sectors must select either the feed factory category or the poultry sector category when applying for corn sales.
All applicant companies will be required to submit a certificate of activity dated March 1, 2026 or later, approved by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to which they are affiliated, confirming that they are currently operating.
Since corn sales will be based on actual consumption, semolina mills and feed factories will be required to submit their 2025 actual consumption certificate, electricity consumption records for the same year, and a valid installed capacity report.
Poultry farmers applying for corn will be required to submit an enterprise registration certificate dated March 1, 2026 or later, issued by the Provincial/District Directorates of Agriculture and Forestry, indicating the number and type of animals.
Poultry house live capacity figures will not be taken into consideration; calculations will be based on the actual number of animals. The accuracy of the required documents will be verified with the persons and institutions that issued them.
If applicants are found to have committed forgery or irregularities in the documents requested by the organization, they will be prohibited from participating in sales for a period of 2 (two) years.
