In a letter received from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), with reference to the letter of the Ministry of Trade, it is stated that, within the scope of the article entitled "Declaration of the TAREKS Reference Number to Customs" included in Product Safety and Inspection Communiqués (ÜGD) No. 1, 2, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 25, the fixed reference number practice applied in previous years has been abolished. It is further stated that declarations for products outside the scope will now be made directly through the Risk-Based Trade Control System (TAREKS), instead of through customs administrations, and that the transition periods have been limited to products for which transport documents were issued before 1 January 2026.
