The cotton production forecast for the Aegean Region for the 2026/27 season was prepared in cooperation with the Izmir Commodity Exchange, Izmir Chamber of Commerce, Aegean Exporters' Associations, Tariş Cotton and Oilseeds Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union, Manisa Commodity Exchange, Söke Commodity Exchange, and Aydın Commodity Exchange. The study was conducted under a protocol signed with the Department of Soil Science at the Faculty of Agriculture of Ege University.

The production forecast results were finalized at a consensus meeting held on October 20, 2026, with the participation of industry stakeholders.  Following the meeting, the production forecast report was announced to the public through the press.
