TODAY'S COMMODİTY EXCHANGE AGENDA

Closure of Export Declarations

According to a letter received from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), referring to a communication from the Ministry of Trade; details of the relevant letter addressed to the Regional Directorates of Customs and Foreign Trade have been provided concerning the necessary measures to keep customs offices open, taking into account the provisions of the legislation currently in force regarding overtime work, in order to meet export-related requests by the end of May 31, 2026, and ensure the prompt completion of all procedures relating to export declarations.

The timely completion of export declaration closure procedures is of great importance for achieving Türkiye's export targets. Accordingly, taking into consideration the nine-day Eid al-Adha holiday, the importance of export declaration procedures is emphasized. To meet requests relating to exports and associated customs procedures by the end of May 31, 2026, the necessary measures must be taken to keep customs offices open, taking into account the provisions of the legislation currently in force regarding overtime work. Furthermore, to prevent disruptions to exports and associated customs procedures, the utmost care must be taken to ensure that export declarations are registered at the relevant Customs Directorates, that all procedures relating to registered export declarations, including inspections, are completed promptly, and that these procedures are expedited.

Best regards,
