Kestelli has been selected to the Board of Turkish Eximbank
Işınsu Kestelli, chairperson of İzmir Commodity Exchange (ICE), has become a member of the Board of Directors of Turkish Export Credit Bank Co. Ltd. (Turkish Eximbank) that is the engine power of the export financing of our country. Elected to the Board of Directors of Turkish Eximbank in the General Assembly held in Ankara on January 12th, Kestelli said, "I am happy to be a part of an understanding working for the acceleration of export targets of İzmir, Aegean Region and Türkiye for 2023". I would like to thank our Prime Minister and Mr. Minister of Economy for deeming me worthy of this important task. I am of the opinion that we will carry out successful works together with the General Manager Mr. Adnan Yıldırım.
Expressing that the world economy could not get out of the low growth spiral, that the financing costs of the developing countries have increased in parallel to the interest rate increasing trend of the FED and that the volatility in the financial markets has risen to risky levels, Mrs. Kestelli stated that the mission of Turkish Eximbank, which provides finance and insurance for export, had become of vital importance in such an environment.
Having highlighted that as İzmir Commodity Exchange, they had made great efforts in increasing Türkiye's share in the trade of agricultural products in the world, Kestelli added, "Turkish Eximbank supports exports of our country by nearly 23% through cash loans and credit insurance. At this point, we attach particular importance to the corporate support and cooperation of Turkish Eximbank."
