Işınsu Kestelli, the chairperson of the ICE, made the following statement after the treacherous terrorist attack in İzmir:

 

Unfortunately, we have grown tired of making statements because of the intensifying terrorist acts in the last one and a half years. However, I would like to emphasize once again that we are a nation whose National Anthem starts as "Do not fear!" We will continue to fight, work, produce and survive until these terrorist acts that target the indivisible unity, solidarity and peace in our country come to an end, till the last terrorist is wiped out from these lands. We will not get intimidated or grow tired and will continue to take all kinds of security precautions until this extraordinary situation passes away. I extend my deepest condolences to İzmir and our country, and wish patience to the bereaved and the swiftest recuperation for our wounded people. May Allah's mercy be upon our martyr that lost his life in the vicious attack today.
