İZLADAŞ secures its place among the best in the world

ICE Laboratory, R&D and Consultancy Services Inc. (IZLADAŞ) that was established with one hundred percent capital of Izmir Commodity Exchange and is the sole authorized classifier licensed laboratory in Türkiye managed to score 100 points in the second stage of CSITC Cotton Round Test as it did in the first stage in April.

İZLADAŞ, which participated for the first time this year in the Round Trials conducted by the Task Force on Commercial Standardization of Instrument Testing of Cotton that is affiliated to the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) among cotton fibre testing laboratories, has successfully passed the 2017-2 Round Trial. According to the 2nd Round Trial results, İzmir laboratory ranked 9th in the world while Selçuk laboratory took 12th place among 124 instruments in terms of the measurement results closest to the reference value.

The organization, which serves to improve cotton instrument testing and laboratory operation standards by enabling participating laboratories to benchmark their measurement performance against that of other laboratories in the world, is held 4 times a year. Many laboratories from important cotton producer countries, including Faserinstitut Bremen (FIBRE) and all classifier laboratories operating under the U.S. Department of Agriculture participate in this interlaboratory trial.

İZLADAŞ that attaches importance to instrument validation and calibration procedures has been participating in the ICA-Bremen Cotton Round Test since 2014.

Making improving the laboratory measurement performance a principle for itself, İZLADAŞ tests the measurement capabilities of its fibre analysis devices in two different organizations by participating the CSITC test.

Operating since 2014, İZLADAŞ serves mainly the members of İzmir Commodity Exchange (ICE) and Aegean Agricultural Products Licensed Warehousing Inc. (ELIDAŞ), and all cotton-related institutions and organizations such as commodity exchanges, universities, research institutes, textile and ginning factories and private seed companies that operate all over Türkiye with its İzmir Central Laboratory and Belevi-Selçuk Cotton Fibre Analysis Laboratory.

İZLADAŞ, which was licensed by the Ministry of Customs and Trade on 31 December 2014 as the competent classifier for cotton, bears the title of being the first and only laboratory in this area.
